Septic System Repair Services

When your septic system needs repaired, we have a variety of solutions to get you back in operation. The following are common repair services we provide.

Lateral Line Restoration

Some recognizable issues with your lateral fields or leach field include water standing in your yard, dark areas of green grass that always seem to grow faster or your sinks and toilets are draining slowly.

Each type of lateral field restoration we perform is subject to the current conditions of your lines. Based on the property and existing working conditions we can often find a solution to fixing them without having to perform a very costly replacement.

You may have roots that have entered your lines or it may be something simple like repairing a broken pipe connection. No matter what conditions your lateral lines are in, we can provide the repair you need.

Septic Tank Replacement

We find that most older homes, especially those built from the 70’s through the 90’s are typically designed with a metal septic tank. Common for that era, but not suitable by today’s standards and regulations.

Most older metal tanks are subject to corrosion and can often be caved in due to vehicle traffic or by the earth settling.

If you’re noticing problems with your system, we can perform a septic tank replacement that will ensure you’re up to code.

Septic Maintenance

Most homeowners would agree that they never think twice about their septic system. It’s out of sight and out of mind for most.

One benefit with our services is that we offer septic system maintenance that helps aid in the longevity and life span.

We can install access risers that allow you to easily service and inspect your tank as well as the inlet & outlet baffles to ensure everything is in working order.

We provide quality septic system repair in Springfield.

We also offer a special enzyme solution that is designed to help keep your tank and laterals clean. This is easily dispersed into your system through your toilet or exterior clean out piping.

What Kind of System Do You Need?

We are often consulted by clients when they are building a new home or buying a lot for future usage. They ask…

What type of septic system am I required to have in Springfield, MO?

A common question that includes many variables for a proper answer.

Here are some examples and requirements that will determine what type of septic system you are required to have installed. Keep in mind that the conditions of your property may vary your outcome.

Standard or Conventional System

A standard (conventional) septic system is allowed when there are benefiting site factors such as available space, good soil permeability, can meet standard setback requirements, depth of soil to bedrock is ok, etc.

Advanced Treatment System

Advanced treatment systems are required when there are limiting site factors such as lack of available space, poor soil permeability, excessive soil permeability, inability to meet standard setback requirements (such as distances from wells and property lines) and depth of soil to bedrock limitations, etc.

No matter what type of septic system you’ll be required to have, we have the proven ability to install them all.

Our most recent project

Many of our clients want to know how we approach our work. Here’s a case study one of our most recent septic repair we did in Springfield. This will give you an idea of how we operate.

Service Type:
Septic System Lateral Restoration

Location:
Springfield, MO

Existing Problems Noticed By Homeowner:
Homeowner noticed that the toilets were backing up and the sinks were slow to drain.

Homeowner’s Initial Approach:
The homeowner initially called a rotor rooter company to try and clean the lines from the interior plumbing to the septic tank.

Homeowner’s Initial Approach Results:
With no luck, the lines were not cleared and it was obvious to the homeowner that they needed to contact a septic system company in Springfield to provide the repairs.

Our Initial Investigation:
To begin our process we started with uncovering and locating the septic tank. This allowed us to determine if the tank’s inlet and outlet baffles (tank plumbing) was configured correctly. It also allowed us to inspect the tank’s sludge to determine if it was to blame for the backup.

What We Found:
Upon inserting our sewer camera into the outlet piping, we noticed that the lateral lines were clogged. We suspected roots were to blame.

During Excavation:
By pinpointing the clog with our camera we were able to prevent unnecessary digging which eliminated us having to disturb the entire landscape. Once accurately located, we cut a section of the laterals to gain access and insert our sewer jetter.

Final Outcome:
We were successfully able to unclog the lateral lines and remove the debris and roots from the existing piping. We treated the lines with our septic system treatment which is designed to further prevent sludge and solids from blocking the flow of effluent.

Summary:
The homeowner now has a properly functioning system free of debris, which allows the entire system to operate correctly.

Why you should hire us for your septic system installation in Springfield

Our commitment is to provide quality workmanship by implementing correct installation methods that stand the test of time.

We focus on every small detail and component that affect the life span of your system. With proper compaction methods and correct piping elevations, you can rest assured you’re receiving a quality installation.

We gather as much info as possible from you as to how your system will be used.

For instance, do you entertain regularly? How many occupants when you do? Are they full time residents? Are there ever any extended guest stays? Any future plans for room additions, outbuildings, etc. Will you want an RV dump, etc.?

We select the best optimal location of system components including the treatment/disposal field.

We utilize proprietary components such as custom distribution devices to ensure even distribution of effluent to the lateral field.

We ensure that all elevation selections of system components are properly designed and executed. This is one of the most common problems we see with system failures.

We ensure that all serviceable components of system are accessible to grade.

We believe a properly designed, properly installed and adequately maintained septic system will last indefinitely. Mother nature’s soil is still the best treatment available and we know how to integrate your system with it for longevity.

We strive to take a practical and logical approach without letting any assumptions dictate our methods. We often utilize reverse engineering procedures to help determine what caused a failure.

One of the common problems when looking for solutions is determining exactly how a system was installed and where the buried components are located. We have developed numerous proprietary and innovative methods to quickly determine locations and elevations of buried components.

Our knowledge and understanding of how a system should function as well as the most effective strategies for installations is what will set our services apart.

When it comes to your septic system installation in Springfield, trust in us.
