Which Septic System Company Should You Hire?
How much do you know about septic systems? Furthermore, how much do you know about the company you are hiring?
There are several septic system companies in Ozark to choose from. Unfortunately, not every land or homeowner is aware that just because these companies are licensed, doesn’t mean they are experienced.
Experience VS. Licensing
In Missouri, you are required to go through training classes to obtain licensing from the state.
Missouri has required certification classes. Unfortunately, you currently do not need to know much about septic system installations to obtain a state installers license. Therefore, holding a state installers license does not qualify you as a good installer, let alone an expert installer.
Additional info about licensing requirements and continued education classes.
Missouri licensing generally consists of sitting in a classroom environment, watching a power point presentation and taking an open book test. You only need a 70% score to get your installer’s license. Once you have obtained your installer’s license, you are required to obtain a certain number of CEU’s in order to renew your license.
More info on advanced treatment system licensing as well as extra required training and classes.
Missouri advanced treatment installer’s licensing consists of additional classroom training, a site visit of mock systems where you may be given an overview of these systems and another open book test. There is a little more math and algebra involved in this test. Again, you only need a 70% score to get your advanced installers license. Once you have obtained your advanced installer’s license, you are required to obtain a certain number of CEU’s in order to renew your license. We have yet to attend any continued education classes in Missouri that involved any testing requirements.
Note: Neither the installer’s or advanced installer’s license requires any in the field demonstration of skills or knowledge.
We have been providing our services for over 26 years. We have obtained all necessary licensing with the state and are registered in all local counties as well.
Our experience and knowledge wasn’t strictly obtained in the classroom, but rather in the field. We have installed hundreds of systems throughout the state.
This first hand experienced has given us the wisdom and knowledge to approach each install we perform with precision. We understand how to effectively design your system based on the property’s conditions and future usages.
Diversity VS. Standard Installations
As our slogan states “Innovative Septic, Sewage & Wastewater Solutions”, we are able to provide any design or installation that not only meets local regulations, but is effective in performing with longevity.
As a general rule, the majority of the repairs we perform are due to improper installations. The main reason for this, we feel, is due to standard practices being implemented that don’t always stand the test of time.
Although standard installation methods are what we are taught and learned in the required training classes, they don’t always hold up to Southwest Missouri’s conditions.
